Refunds & Credit at the Online School of Poetry
Refund Policy
1. A course means the total period of study at
the Online Schhol of Poetry as shown in the Offer of Enrolment
and/or on the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)and/ or receipt
of payment for course, class, workshop or conference.
2. Refund of course fee will be given if:
* a student is unable to commence a course because his/her
application has been rejected, in which case the student
will receive a 100% refund of the course fee paid.
* a student cancels his/her enrolment five (5) business
days before a course starts, in which case the student will
receive a 80% refund of the course fee paid.
* a student cancels his/her enrolment less than five (5)
business days before a course starts, in which case the
student will receive a 60% refund of the course fee paid.
3. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that
they have enrolled in the correct course. Refunds will not
be given if a student enrols in and completes an online
course incorrectly. If a student realises they have enrolled
in the wrong course, however have not accessed the study
material or the assessment, and refund may be possible if
the student contacts the Administrator within four (4) business
days of the course being purchased
4. There is an 80% refund after one (1) week, a 50% refund
after (2) weeks of the course. There is no refund of course
fees at the begining of the third (3) week of the course,
unless the student can provide documentary evidence of exceptional
circumstances to justify a refund, such as serious medical
problems. Any such refund is at the discretion of the Adminstrotor.
5. There is no refund of course fees for students who arrive
late for a course unless the student can provide documentary
evidence of exceptional circumstances to justify a refund,
such as serious medical problems. Any such refund is at
the discretion of the Administrator.
6. All requests for refunds must be emailed to the
Administrator Please include;
a. Your Name
b. Your Address
c. Your Email address
d. Your Phone Number
e. Course Title
f. Course Date
g. Instructor's Name
h. Course Amount
i. Amount Requested
j. Reason For Refund
7. Refunds will be paid within four (4) weeks after receipt
of the request and confirmation of reason.
8. All refunds will be given by check and mailed by USPS
to the requesting student.
Please note:
The Online School of Poetry will refund all of a students
course fee if the School defaults, that is, if:
* the course does not start on the agreed starting day
(percentage of fee returned in relationship to new start
date of propsed starting date and projected end date); or
* the course ceases to be provided at any time after it
commences but before its completion; (percentage of fee
returned in relationship to new end date of propsed starting
date); or
* the course is not provided in full because a condition
has been imposed on the Online School of Poetry.
and the student has not withdrawn before the happenings
of any of the above.
Any such refund will be paid within four (4) weeks after
receipt of the of the request and confirmation of reason.
Transfer Policy
Transfer within Online School of Poetry
If a student wishes to transfer his/her enrolment after
a course has started to another program/course at the Online
School of Poetry (for example, from Regie Gibson Workshop
to Tom daley privae lessons), any balance of the course
fee paid will be transferred to the new program/course.
All fees and money given as a refund can transfer to credit
and used as payment toward another course at a later dates.
The student has one (1) year to use said credit. If student
does not use the credit within a year it will not be refunded
or usable as credit toward a course at the Online School
of Poetry.
Grievance Procedure
If a student has a complaint about the an instructor at
the Online School of Poetry, s/he can
1. Talk (via phone or chat room) to the Administrator
and the teacher together about the complaint.
2. If the student thinks the complaint is not fixed, the
student must put their concerns in writing and meet privately
(phone or chat room) with the Administrator. The teacher
will be informed of the discussion and any recommendations
where appropriate.
